A family that submitted an application got this form letter response:
We received the parent permission form to have your child tested for Seattle Public Schools' Advanced Learning programs. Applicants' Fall MAP scores will be reviewed and applicants with both reading and math at the 85th percentile or higher will be scheduled for the Cognitive Abilities Test. Cognitive testing will be conducted from late-October to mid-December. Some schools will have Saturday test sessions. You will receive either a test date appointment letter or an initial review letter several weeks after the application deadline. So if your kid didn't test well on the Fall MAP, you're on the appeal path from the start.
