Tweeting is fun (and funny)

So there's been this stream of tweets from the Times' Lynne Varner.  Here's what she's been saying since Banda was selected:

I see shades of Susan Enfield in Sandy Husk. Both know their worth & refuse to compromise on the important things.

In many ways, Jose Banda will be wonderful for . But I'm not sure strong mgmnt will be one of those ways.

But who among us hasn't stretched ourselves professionally while climbing the career ladder. So it will be w/ Banda & .

Criticism keeps us our on our toes, helps us refine our ideas. But do some critics have to be so small?

(I'm sure she didn't mean me personally but small is what I am.)

Lobbing one-liners across the net might be ego-satisfying but it gets nothing done. Nada.

Here's her latest column where wonder of wonders, she sat down with Banda and liked what he had to say.  (She was not at the media interview with him.)  Except what she seems to be doing in the column is telling him what to do, you know, like micromanaging him.  I thought the Times was against that.

He's been in education 30 years and if the only people he listens to are parents, staff, teachers, and the taxpayers of Seattle, it's alright with me.

Correction, Melissa. You're short, but very rarely small.

I'm still trying to get my head around this...

"Lobbing one-liners across the net might be ego-satisfying but it gets nothing done. Nada."

and how Ms. Varner reconciles this with her various tweets in the "twitterverse".

Isn't she the critic?

Weird.

Do some critics have to live outside the school district they critique?

Meh. Isn't she the one who tweeted some petty snark about Enoch dropping out to save face?

Clearly she was looking in the mirror when the twit was tweeting.
