Sorta racist,...Those dancing turkeys are hilarious. Sorta racist, and sorta perverse, what with dark meat line, their black American accents and the fact that turkeys' five month long lives don't ever end up with an escape from the blade.

I remember when I was studying in South Korea and my friends made me dog meat with stuffing and gravy for Thanksgiving. It was pretty good. It's weird how hung-up people get on cultural practices like meat eating. We love dogs and eat pigs, whereas in Haiti and China people eat cats. In India no Hindu would ever eat a cow and observant Jews and Muslims can't fathom eating the pig flesh. I was recently reading Bernal Diaz's account of fighting with Cortez against the Aztecs and was surprised how the roasting and eating of human meat was so popular with the Mexicans.

Happy Thanksgiving

Sarah
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28765366.post-32688779003068460982015-11-25T14:45:45.649-08:002015-11-25T14:45:45.649-08:00Parent, that's only if you view being on the s...Parent, that's only if you view being on the spectrum as some kind of slur or insult.

I am thankful for neuro-diversity, including ASD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia - and those who help these children self-actualize into brilliant, thoughtful and successful adults.mirmac1https://www.blogger.com/profile/10183460709639638172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28765366.post-28648867542784566112015-11-25T14:34:17.640-08:002015-11-25T14:34:17.640-08:00Mirmac1, that's not any of your business and o...Mirmac1, that's not any of your business and obviously not appropriate for speculation, by anyone.
