My son went to Aviation, class of 2019. There are some exceptional opportunities for science extracurriculars. Not mentioned in the post is the solar car team. Think about that: solar car/ green energy at an aviation-themed school? Don't let the name 'aviation' dissuade students with a strong interest in Stem but not so much in aviation from applying. After a semester class called Physics of Flight, most of the classes are not specific to aviation.

Start time is 9 am, but Science Olympiad and some other clubs meet before school starts.

There is no PE, and minimal art, during the school day. There are ways students earn these credits as they still need to meet state grad requirements.
