School Beat
I get my regular copy of the district newletter, School Beat. Imagine my surprise to learn that we now have an Interim Deputy Superintendent . That would be General Counsel Noel Treat . So now, the General Counsel is Ron English. (I never thought I'd write that sentence but life is strange that way.) Mr. Treat is to serve in this capacity until June 30th. There is no explanation why this appointment is necessary. I'd have to go back and check but I don't think we have had a deputy superintendent since Mona Bailey (and I think that was the '80s). We also have an Interim Director of Capital Programs, Doug Nichols. Now I know that COO, Pegi McEvoy is now also Facilities head so what does that leave former Facilities head, Bill Martin, to do?
