For those interested in an event specially created for them, NAGC and NWGCA invite parents, grandparents, and caregivers to experience NAGC24 Parent Day. This one-day event gives caregiving adults the tools, resources, and networking opportunities they need to support their gifted and talented children.

Plan to attend an exclusive 2-hour program, and then experience all NAGC has to offer by choosing from NAGC24's Saturday afternoon sessions in 16 topic tracks, attending informal idea sharing roundtables, and visiting the Exhibit Hall.

Topics include:

·  Understanding giftedness, traits, characteristics, and behaviors

·  Supporting the social-emotional and mental health needs of your gifted child

·  Ensuring your child is challenged inside and outside the classroom

·  Working with your school and/or district to support your child

· Building relationships within the family unit and with friends, idea mates, and others

*All attendees must pre-register by Friday, 11/15/24; there is no on-site registration.

**This is an adult-only event; no programs or care are available for children.

I hope a lot of people share this link, especially about the Saturday event for parents. As much as anything, that day will be a great opportunity to connect with other Seattle-area parents. I also hope some legislators will attend.
