Roosevelt High School Shuts Down Early Today
Updated to reflect that SPD did the sweep and that my statement about an SPS policy of good news only was sarcasm on my part.
end of update
RHS closed early after a bomb threat was phoned in. The school was first in a shelter-in-place and then students were released around lunchtime. SPD did a sweep and found nothing.
Per what seems like an SPS' new policy of "only good news!," there is no statement about the incident at SPS' Twitterfeed nor at their website.

SPS is surely depriving the public of essential information about significant matters, incidents and facts. Did they actually express that they have a new "only good news" policy?
SPS did not mention D-Day or report on the Sand Point Elementary intrusion or the bomb threat.
Also, was it Seattle Police or SPS Security who did a sweep?
Private Public Schools
"The threat was not considered credible, Seattle Public Schools officials confirmed. Seattle police did a sweep and did not find a bomb or other weapons."
Private Public Schools, that was sarcasm and I will update the post to reflect that. My meaning is just that the district seems to want to keep a lid on any problems that might reflect badly on it.
To the best of my knowledge, no, the district never reported or commented on either the Sand Point Elementary event nor the bomb threat at its own webpage. People know how to read and when parents see nothing at the website that represents SPS, that's troubling.
I would be willing to bet that the Sand Point ES principal and/or district sent some private reassurance to that school's parents but with several questions still out there about how it was handled, you'd think that SPS would want to reassure the entire SPS community.
