Update for Saturday, July 29, 2023

Interestingly, this mirrors what is the count for City Council races as well.

Stats from King County Elections - Ballot Return Statistics

Overall, King County is at just under 11% with one week left to return ballots. There are over 1.3M "active registered voters" and 145,562 ballots returned.

For Seattle School Board:

D1 - 8.42%

D3 - 10.21%

D6 - 9.92%

To note, there are not votes for D2 as there are only two candidates and both, Christina Posten and Lisa Rivera Smith will move onto the General Election in November.

That's an interesting number in D1 where incumbent Liza Rankin is trying to keep her seat against a couple of challengers including Debbie Carlsen. Does that lower-than-the-other races count mean something? If so, what and who does it favor?

Looking at the Seattle City Council races, you see those same kinds of numbers.
