To note, the community meeting on changes to high school Science programming to be held at Cleveland High School has been cancelled.

Wednesday, January 31th
Board meeting, starting at 4:15 pm.  Agenda.

I will have a separate thread for the Board meeting as it has two large items.

It's a much shorter agenda (zero Introduction items) but with two biggies - the resolution on HC in high schools with a substitute resolution now on the agenda from Pinkham, Patu and Mack AND
Approval of the 2019-20 High School Growth Boundaries Plan and Highly Capable Pathways for 2019-20 and 2020-2, now with four amendments.

From Director Eden Mack (and this is always true but bears repeating):

Nothing will be finalized until the school board takes action on Wednesday, and I would encourage you to continue to write to schoolboard@seattleschools.org and/or sign up to testify at the board meeting to share your support or opposition for items on the agenda.

Thursday, Feb. 1
Operations Committee meeting from 4:30-6:30 pm.  No agenda yet available.

Enrollment event at Hazel Wolf K-8 School from 5:30PM to 7:30PM

Family Science Engagement Night

There does not appear to be any director community meetings this weekend.

What is the general grading policy for SPS? When are semester grades final, by when do teachers need to post grades (is this what the day between semesters is for?), and what is the window of time for students to address any missing or erroneous grades?
