Update on Superintendent Search

From the Board:
Seattle Public School Board President Cheryl Chow and Board Director Michael DeBell are meeting with their counterparts at the Superintendent Finalist’s School Districts in Charleston, South Carolina and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania while conducting site visits this week.

As they meet with members of the education community and civic leaders, Chow and DeBell are expecting to learn about the qualities of the individual finalists while also exploring how other urban districts are addressing many of the issues challenging Seattle.

A special executive session of the Seattle Public School Board has been scheduled for Thursday, April 12 at 2 p.m. to evaluate superintendent applications.
