Sandra Day O'Connor to Speak in Seattle About Education

This notice appeared in today's Times:

"Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor is coming to Seattle next month to give a speech about education.

O'Connor, who retired from the nation's highest court in 2008, is scheduled to present "Education: A Big Idea in Today's America" from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14 at Town Hall Seattle."

She retired in 2005, however, not 2008.

I have a lot of admiration and respect for Justice O'Connor (despite not always agreeing with her decisions) and I'll be interested to hear what she has to say about education.

Tickets are free but required and are available on Monday, from Brown Paper Tickets by calling 800-838-3006 or at www.brownpapertickets.com.
