Should I Apply?

The Times is looking for an editorial writer with expertise in education.

So tempting.  (And yes, I'm kidding.)

They wouldn't hire you, anyway. The only "expertise" they are looking for is knowing the pro-charter school lingo and propaganda.

The ads next to the job posting are for test scorers.

No irony there, Charlie.
Unqualified temp workers scoring student tests and video portfolios of teacher candidates (edTPA).
Your future as a student or a potential teacher is dependent on an unqualified temp worker.
Only in America.

CT - "Your future as a student or a potential teacher is dependent on an unqualified temp worker. ".

Computer failures, kids roaming the halls talking about the tests to other students, etc. We all know the problems.

I suggest any teacher who is demoted or otherwise harassed or punished using unscientific test scores or scores compiled by unqualified personnel has an excellent 'get out of jail for free' card.

I'm looking forward to the first legal test cases.
