In a way I was glad to get this letter, because at least it provides some evidence that are actually planning to get my daughter to school on inclement weather days this year, but at the same time I am bothered by the fact that Sped students need to "opt-in" to something that is guaranteed for gen ed students. It would have been more appropriate to send in an "opt-out" letter for those families (a small percentage of kids on sped routes) that actually will have difficulty getting to an alternate stop.
