Australian School Answering Machine

Okay, this may not be funny to you but I found it hilarious (even if an exaggeration). If you are easily offended, don't listen. If you work for a school, you should get a good laugh.

( Yes, the ending is not p.c. but again I say, if you are easily offended, don't listen.)

I believe I posted this on the blog about four/five days ago....cant remember the thread now....

Its actually an old urban legend doing the rounds... Snopes says it originally came out attributed to Pacific Palisades High School in California, and someone else said its been tagged as having come out of a London school...

It really is funny, until the end, which is not funny at all, and also not in keeping with the humor of the rest of it, I thought.

the end is more English or American than Australian and New Zealand.... which is why I believe the Snopes view that this came out of America first is correct...

I have often heard English and American people complain about immigrants not being able to speak English, or wanting information in a language other than English...

New Zealand has two official languagues - Maori and English.... Australia has only English, but that's partly because the Aboriginal people - a nomadic clan-based culture - literally have dozens of languages...

This is absolutely hilarious whether an urban legend or not!! The ending is particularly funny and right on the money.

I'm without humor. It wasn't funny to me, especially the last part.
