Seattle Council of the PTSA is sponsoring a discussion of the nuts and bolts of school budgets. 6:30-8:30 on Monday Feb 7th at JSCEE in the auditorium.

Join us at our next Seattle Council PTSA General Meeting where we will discuss the nuts and bolts of school allocations. This is a great opportunity for PTA/PTSA Presidents, Treasurers, PTA Budget Committee members and BLT (Building Leadership Team) reps to understand school budgets. Been through school budgets lots of times before? Come share your experiences with PTSA leaders who are new to the process.

SCPTSA Board member Andrea Baumgarten will facilitate this discussion. District officials will be there to help answer your questions.

I've seen this advertised widely so I don't think you have to be a PTSA officer or BLT rep to attend.

All are welcome-- the focus will be on gaining concrete knowledge about budget allocation sheets and what the terms mean. Later, when individual schools may have to make hard choices, the more people who understand the terminology and trade-offs, the better for the entire community. Individual school budget allocations will be released in late February. Please join us whether you have vast experience or not.

Thanks Maureen for posting!
