Is the Oath Of Office open to the public ... ??

(it is listed as 4:00 p.m., Wed. 30 Nov. at the JSCEE)

Thanks Thanks Thanks
It is open to the public and you are welcome to come. Generally only family show up.

I was interested that Michael DeBell, in his praise/farewell to Peter and Steve said the following about the voters:

"We have to accept their verdict even if it doesn't feel right at the moment."

I would guess he meant this in the context of his friendship with both men and not that he was publicly saying he was unhappy with the outcome.

Maybe some one with connections can help the Seattle schools family with 10 children who loss their home yesterday with getting a Thanksgiving meal.

Are they proposing/suggesting boundary changes at the capacity management work session tonight?

quite curious-
I was wondering the same thing & it looks as if the answer is, Yes.

The agenda for the board's work session is posted on the Board's homepage, but the presentation link to materials/power point isn't up yet.

But-I did find on the Board's Friday Updates link (the most current with their 1 week hold-back) from 11/11/11 on the Operations udate, is this:

"Since FACMAC is an advisory committee to the Superintendent of Schools, initial recommendations on short-term (2012-13) capacity options are scheduled to be completed by November 17 for a board work session scheduled on November 21. That session will provide the Board with an update of current options and recommendations made by FACMAC to the superintendent (along with staff assessment and input)."

...with that happening, my guess is that the district will be true to tradition & postpone posting any materials online for the public until as late as possible today before the fires are lit!

Almost 4:00pm and still no presentation materials posted online for today's 5:00pm Capacity Meeting. The Board office says they haven't received them yet from the district.
Frustrating to not be able to read the materials before the meeting...
