Events from the Washington State PTSA
Washington State PTA partners with a variety of organizations throughout the year, and two upcoming events provide examples.
On Monday, May 18th a large group of both individual and organizational sponsors, including WSPTA, present a discussion with Katie Haycock, Executive Director of Education Trust , a national leader in the education reform movement, on the subject of NOW WHAT? Life after 2009’s Historic Education Reform Legislation. The event takes place on Monday, Monday, May 18th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Microsoft Auditorium at the Seattle Public Library, 1000 4th Avenue in Seattle, and is free to the public.
A second event is the Healthy Schools Summit, to be held on May 28th and 29th at the SeaTac Marriot Hotel. Although not free, this event will be a worthwhile investment of time and resources for those concerned about the health of our children, i.e. for all PTA members!
