Want to Help Defeat I-1240?

Here are some volunteer opportunities:

Walk a District
Starting Location: Orca K-8, 5215 46th Ave S, Seattle WA 98118 by the playground. We will distribute lists and scripts there. Call 206 853-7594 that day if you have questions.
Saturday the 13th : two shifts: 10:00 a.m.-12:00, 12- 2:00 p.m.
.
Sun the 14th, one shift: 3:00- 5:00 p.m.

If this doesn't work for you, let us know an area you can doorbell and a package can be put together for you for another day.

Phonebanking
How about phonebanking at home?  Yup, a phone list can be yours (and a prepaid phone if you don't want to use your own) and you can call at home.

Contact Jennifer Boutell at 253-282-4937 or jboutell@peopleforourpublicsch
ools.org for more info on either of these options.

If you need a speaker for your PTA or other group, let me know at charterfreewashington@gmail.com and I will be glad to set that up.
Person-to-person grassroots contact is how we are going to win this.  It's how President Obama did it on his first campaign.

Are the legislative district Demo clubs going to have doorbelling events, and will they have their endorsement of a no vote on their pamphlets?

Mirmac, it depends on the LD but yes,the many, many LDs that say NO to 1240 are doorbelling AND phonebanking.

Thank you to those hard-working Dems out there!

The 34th LD (West Seattle, Burien, White Center, and Vashon) endorsed NO on 1240 with a unanimous vote, and that recommendation is on the voters' guide that PCOs will distribute.

Just to be clear though, we have no doorbellers committed to walk solely for 1240 from the democratic LDs.

(If I am wrong about that, please get in touch with me! 253 282 4937)

We are part of their slate, but we really (REALLY) need YOU to come out and doorbell, specifically for this. It has a much greater impact when it's the sole issue.

Please do not think that someone else has this. If you aren't helping out on the ground, it's not happening.
