Charters in Chicago

A lengthy and devastating account of public schools in the Chicago school system, created by the Chicago teachers union.  While I'm sure some of the viewpoint is somewhat skewed, they have hard data.

Check out the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today (1/24/13). There is a big article about charters meeting standards at only 28%, instead of the 49% based on previous calculations. The federal government stepped in to force a recalculation of the charter and cyber charter schools.
