Just Say No, Governor

The Seattle Times issues the throwdown to the Legislature. I'm down with that - no new Special Session.

I'm calling the Governor's office tomorrow and asking him to not schedule one.

Let the Supreme Court take the reins now. Enough is enough.
The Supreme Court should get more directly involved in the state’s necessary effort to reform the school-funding system.

Speaking of the governor, it's interesting Inslee signed a bill that seeks to bring Washington state into compliance with the federal REAL ID Act.

The federal REAL ID Act requires state driver’s licenses and ID cards to have security enhancements and to be issued to people who can prove they are legally in the United States.

How will the city of Seattle and it's sanctuary directive mesh with the REAL ID act.

Will the mayor direct the police not to ask for drivers license during traffic stops.

End PC
End PC, I actually just had a chat with some SPD officers about traffic stops. This city does not do this. You'd have to be driving on fire for SPD officers in cars to care. Parking control sure but they don't stop people. So I doubt this could be a big issue.

That would be a good question for mayoral candidates.

There will be two IDs available. If don't fly, you really don't need a REAL ID.
