Awards and debates

The 2013 Colleen Willoughby Youth Civic Education Awards will be presented before a youth-led school board debate on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at The Vera Project in Seattle Center. Doors open at 5:00pm and the program runs from 5:30 - 7:00pm. It's a free event, but please register either online or by calling 206.682.7395.

Winners of the 2013 Colleen Willoughby Youth Civic Education Awards will be honored at a ceremony held in conjunction with a Seattle School Board debate run entirely by volunteer youth. The debate will be prepared and presented by middle and high school students. The students will design the format of the debate, ask their own questions to the Seattle School Board candidates, and handle day-of logistics. The debate and awards program are open to the public and are free to attend.
