Friday, October 2nd
Community Meeting on Bell Time Analysis at Washington Middle School from 6:30-7:30 pm.

* Director Martin-Morris said at the Board meeting that he was having a community meeting but it is not on the district or Board calendar nor in the Board meeting agenda.

(Editor's note; it has become a trend that the district is not putting up agendas any sooner than the required 48 before the meetings.   It's troubling because this certainly was not the case in the past.  It allows much less time to review the agenda information and, if needed, let parents and community know of time-sensitive issues.)

The Seattle Special Education PTSA's First meeting of the year is next week: Sept. 28, Monday, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the JSCEE (John Stanford Center for Educational Excellence), 2445 3rd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134, 2nd floor, Room 2700

Guests include Superintendent Larry Nyland, Assoc Supt Michael Tolley and Wyeth Jessee, Exec Dir of Special Education. We will also have a district director of logistics and transportation to respond to concerns about your child's transportation issues. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

Open to ALL SpEd Parents, Educators, Students with Disabilities, Friends/Allies, Etc. (Please note: You don't have to be a SpEd PTSA member to attend a meeting.) We hope to see you there! There is strength in numbers!
