Job Board

Hey, Education Activists! Looking for a way to make a vocation of your avocation? Want to follow your passion? Do you believe that if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life? Here's an opportunity!

Teach for America is looking for a Development Manager in Seattle.

Want to work for the District? There are exciting opportunities such as:

Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance

But, if you were thinking about the job as Manager of Advanced Learning, I'm afraid that job posting has been taken down for some time. The job hasn't been filled, they just aren't advertising it anymore.

I hope the Internal Auditor is in addition to Andrew Medina. I find him to be a very ethical auditor who welcomes input from parents.

If the non-profit Teach For America could only partner with the district in a combined position: TFA Dvelopment/SPS Advanced Learning Manager...It would save both organizations money and allow for the management of AL by developing TFA principles and staffing within AL while exporting AL principles and pedagogy out to the TFA network....

Look at the internal auditor position. It reports to the director of audit, so this looks like a position reporting to Mr. Medina.

The Team
Our team, including nearly 30 corps members and 300 alumni, has built strong and lasting partnerships within the unique communities of the larger Puget Sound area. And, although our experience has been marked by challenges, the momentum of our progress is rapidly accelerating. This coming year, we look forward to joining fellow communities in the Yakima Valley, forging new relationships, and working alongside our partners across the state to make excellence in education a reality for all students of Washington.

---- I see a reality gap.

'momentum of our progress is rapidly accelerating'?

Argh. The writer/editor in me flinches.

In fact, the decline of my pleasure is rapidly decreasing.

Please tell me that that wasn't written by a TFA grad teaching high school English. But it is a perfect addition to THIS thread

Signed: cheerful?

Okay, don't tell me they are looking to replace Andrew Medina....!

He is conscientious and speaks the truth. He is invaluable! If he's gone, then this district is in serious hurt.

Manager OT, waste?

VIDEO: KIRO 7 investigates Seattle Schools budget bust

Ugh! Will this be the tipping point for Pegi McEvoy? She was found to have misspent Fed grant monies in last summer's state audit.
